10 The disciples came to him and asked, " Why do you speak to the people in parables? "

10 门徒进前来、问耶稣说、对众人讲话、为甚么用比喻呢。

The disciples came to him and asked, " Why do you speak to the people in parables" ?

门徒进前来，问耶稣说：" 对众人讲话为什么用比喻呢？"

Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.

这都是耶稣用比喻对众人说的话；若不用比喻，就不对他们说什么。

So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: " I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world" . [ Psalm 78: 2 ]

这是要应验先知的话，说：" 我要开口用比喻，把创世以来所隐藏的事发明出来。"

10 He said, " The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, " 'though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.'

10 他说、　神国的奥秘、只叫你们知道．至于别人、就用比喻、叫他们看也看不见、听也听不明。
