The next morning the Israelites got up and pitched camp near Gibeah.

以色列人早晨起来，对着基比亚安营。

Saul also went to his home in Gibeah, accompanied by valiant men whose hearts God had touched.

扫罗往基比亚回家去，有　神感动的一群人跟随他。

The Israelites went out to fight the Benjamites and took up battle positions against them at Gibeah.

以色列人出来，要与便雅悯人打仗，就在基比亚前摆阵。

So they went on, and the sun set as they neared Gibeah in Benjamin.

他们就往前走。将到便雅悯的基比亚，日头已经落了。

The Benjamites came out of Gibeah and cut down twenty-two thousand Israelites on the battlefield that day.

便雅悯人就从基比亚出来，当日杀死以色列人二万二千。

Had he remained in the city of the Jebusites, and not been so anxious for Gibeah, none of his troubles would have arisen'.

如果他留在耶布斯人的城里， 而不是为基比亚担心， 他的麻烦就不会发生。

At once the Benjamites mobilized twenty-six thousand swordsmen from their towns, in addition to seven hundred able young men from those living in Gibeah.

那时便雅悯人，从各城里点出拿刀的，共有二万六千。另外还有基比亚人点出七百精兵。

His master replied, " No. We won't go into any city whose people are not Israelites. We will go on to Gibeah" .

主人回答说：" 我们不可进不是以色列人住的外邦城，不如过到基比亚去。"

When he and his servant arrived at Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, and he joined in their prophesying.

扫罗到了那山，有一班先知遇见他，　神的灵大大感动他，他就在先知中受感说话。

Then the Benjamites saw that they were beaten. Now the men of Israel had given way before Benjamin, because they relied on the ambush they had set near Gibeah.

于是便雅悯人知道自己败了。先是以色列人，因为靠着在基比亚前所设的伏兵，就在便雅悯人面前诈败。

Then ten thousand of Israel's able young men made a frontal attack on Gibeah. The fighting was so heavy that the Benjamites did not realize how near disaster was.

有以色列人中的一万精兵，来到基比亚前接战，势派甚是凶猛，便雅悯人却不知道灾祸临近了。

That evening an old man from the hill country of Ephraim, who was living in Gibeah (the inhabitants of the place were Benjamites), came in from his work in the fields.

晚上有一个老年人，从田间作工回来，他原是以法莲山地的人，住在基比亚，那地方的人却是便雅悯人。
