So the Moabite officials returned to Balak and said, " Balaam refused to come with us" .

摩押的使臣就起来，回巴勒那里去，说：" 巴兰不肯和我们同来。"

God came to Balaam and asked, " Who are these men with you" ?

神临到巴兰那里说：" 在你这里的人都是谁？"

Then Balaam went with Balak to Kiriath Huzoth.

巴兰和巴勒同行，来到基列胡琐。

And Balak took Balaam to the top of Peor, overlooking the wasteland.

巴勒就领巴兰到那下望旷野的毗珥山顶上。

Balak sacrificed cattle and sheep, and gave some to Balaam and the officials who were with him.

巴勒宰了（原文作" 献" ）牛羊，送给巴兰和陪伴的使臣。

In addition to those slain in battle, the Israelites had put to the sword Balaam son of Beor, who practiced divination.

那时以色列人在所杀的人中，也用刀杀了比珥的儿子术士巴兰。

Among their victims were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba—the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword.

在所杀的人中，杀了米甸的五王：就是以未、利金、苏珥、户珥、利巴，又用刀杀了比珥的儿子巴兰。

The elders of Moab and Midian left, taking with them the fee for divination. When they came to Balaam, they told him what Balak had said.

摩押的长老和米甸的长老手里拿着卦金到了巴兰那里，将巴勒的话都告诉了他。

That night God came to Balaam and said, " Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you" .

当夜　神临到巴兰那里说：" 这些人若来召你，你就起来同他们去，你只要遵行我对你所说的话。"

Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam's error; they have been destroyed in Korah's rebellion.

他们有祸了！因为走了该隐的道路，又为利往巴兰的错谬里直奔，并在可拉的背叛中灭亡了。

However, the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam but turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.

然而耶和华你的　神不肯听从巴兰，却使那咒诅的言语变为祝福的话，因为耶和华你的　神爱你。

When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it pressed close to the wall, crushing Balaam's foot against it. So he beat the donkey again.

驴看见耶和华的使者就贴靠墙，将巴兰的脚挤伤了，巴兰又打驴。

When Balak son of Zippor, the king of Moab, prepared to fight against Israel, he sent for Balaam son of Beor to put a curse on you.

那时摩押王西拨的儿子巴勒起来攻击以色列人，打发人召了比珥的儿子巴兰来咒诅你们。

The next morning Balaam got up and said to Balak's officials, " Go back to your own country, for the Lord has refused to let me go with you" .

巴兰早晨起来，对巴勒的使臣说：" 你们回本地去吧，因为耶和华不容我和你们同去。"
